Rhode Island Communites for Addiction Recovery

RICARES is committed to assisting in the recovery efforts throughout Rhode Island. As part of our ongoing commitment we offer several services to non-profit organizations across the state.

Linen Service: An anonymous donor regularly gives gently used linens to RICARES to distribute to Rhode Island residential treatment services.

Holiday Toy Drive: Each winter RICARES donates toys to the children of parents who are in recovery or treatment.

Speakers Bureau: Jim Gillen and his panel of speakers visit with schools to stress the importance of a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free lifestlye. Jim incorporates storytelling and flute playing in this interactive session.

Musical Recovery: Jim Gillen often works with various non-profits to bring music to their treatment programs.

Free Condoms: From time to time RICARES will have a supply of condoms which are free for the taking.
